INTERVIEW WITH MARK CLINTON | PHOTOGRAPHER
We get inspired daily by the new age 'instagramers' who are turning some what of a hobby into a full time gig through the social platform instagram.
We fire some questions via Mark Clinton's way - Definitely one to start following if you haven't already!
I'm a Sydney based lifestyle photographer usually found travelling both domestic and internationally.
My journey began with the ocean, shooting all things surf. My first time shooting was back in March 2003 when a huge groundswell hit Sydney. With an underlying fear of swimming amongst big waves it was a no brainer to park up on the cliff and hunt a variety of angles. Over time my passion grew stronger, capturing not only the action but the lifestyle of road trips, travel, etc. With a strong foundation set from a young age my only requirement was to keep shooting.
If I’m working it could be any climate, anywhere in the world. When home I tend to stick to a stable routine and stay on top of the 80% of being a photographer - admin. Being close to the beach ill always nab in a swim/ surf before and/ or after work to keep me sane.
Im currently in the states for the first time working on a social campaign for Contiki. Once finished I've got a week downtime hanging around Cali before flying home to a few lifestyle campaigns based around the southern hemisphere. Later in the year theres a few big projects in the pipeline but they will stay hush until all the paperwork has cleared! Ive always been a firm believer in Canon. Next to me (as I type from a coach) is my Fstop tulip bag holding 2 5dmk3s, 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm and the new 100-400. The recently released mk2 is a beast!
@ryanpernofski - good friend and willing to throw himself in some hairy situations paired only with an iPhone.
